ZARK! is a Burning Man 2010 Honorarium Installation
ZARK! was selected as a Burning Man 2010 Honorarium Installation Art Grant Recipient for 2010. That means I'll be Building ZARK! for Burningman 2010.
PDFZark was a successful prototype, actual size construction model and burn test. The final BRC version will be much more decorated. There will be plastic lit art etc. Inside the piece there will be more to see to reward the curious viewer.
Do you have photos of PDFZARK! I could post here? Drop me a line if you do.

I am a sculptor and a performance artist. I make sculptures for site specific events. I make costumes and musical sculptures out of found materials. I have shows in which I wear costumes, play these musical sculptures, and tell humorous stories; acting out the parts that defy words. These stories are often from my life experience.
The Great Quentini is now featured in several You Tube clips, including one by Marc Brodzik, another by some Drexel students and a " great quentini performance fragment. "
Go behold The Great Quentini and his many works in the Gallery. I am adored or at least appreciated by some folks. Check out this glowing review at reality sandwich, who called my work an "intricate and fast-paced barrage of wonderfulness." Uh, thanks.

What's New?
We've finished the prototype and now its time to get started on ZARK!
I'm seeking a small crew to help me build and support the project. Maybe you would like to join the team!
You can help in a variety of ways.
-here in Philadelphia
-Mid august in Boise Idaho
-Pre-event at Burning Man
We're looking for a small dedicated crew to help with construction:
-of the lights and plastic art here in Philadelphia and a team to do the installation/construction at Burningman; pre-event
Ways you can help:
- Come to my studio and assemble parts. This includes cutting and stapling plastic, threading fiber optics, painting, casting, soldering LED's, drilling, riveting and more.
-Be an advisor when we have technical questions regarding electronics, LEDs, solar power, heavy construction
-provide human power and brains
Does this sound interesting? Do you want to be on the Zark Team? Tell us how you'd like to be involved.
-full involvement start to finish!
- at Burning Man pre-event
-just a few days here and there
-as an advisor
What sort of skills do you have? What skills do you want to learn by working with us? How are you interested in working on this project? What sort of stuff would be interesting for you? Are you available to work weekdays or weekends?
Looking forward to hearing from you and hope we can work together.
